NADJA SOFIE ELLER works as a scenographer between theater, dance and visual arts. She studied theatre studies and art history in Munich and stage design / scenic space in Berlin. As a stage and costume designer she has collaborated with Yael Bartana (WHAT IF WOMEN RULED THE WORLD? at Volksbühne Berlin), Richard Siegal/Ballet of Difference (MADE TWO WALKING / MADE ALL WALKING  at Schauspiel Köln), Lizzy Timmers (MUSIK at Theaterhaus Jena), Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff (a series of performances at Grüner Salon / Volksbühne Berlin).


She is continuously working with director Johan Simons (including ÖDIPUS, HERRSCHER at Schauspielhaus Bochum, DÄMONEN at Burgtheater Wien). Since 2018 Nadja Sofie Eller has been working with Tobias Staab on various projects (TRANS CORPORAL FORMATIONS, AFTER WORK, BARDO, among others). In 2023 she collaborated with Trajal Harrell on the stage design of the production THE ROMEO, which premiered at Schauspielhaus Zürich and was presesented in the Cour d'honneur du Palais des papes at Festival d’Avignon.


She is based in Berlin.
